Official online sign up for the Greater Yellowstone Adventure Series races always opens at high noon
(12:00 PM) Mountain Standard Time on March 1. The reason? It was on March 1, 1872 that the US
Congress established Yellowstone National Park in what was then the Territories of Montana and
Wyoming. The region had only been explored once and had barely been surveyed. But, President Grant
had the foresight to create the world’s first national park. Good Call!
Now that our New Year’s Early Bird Special for 2019 is complete, we have opened registration for
double marathoners and TBAs. By doing the double, you guarantee yourself a spot in our marathons. If
you’re a Marathon Maniac, it’s the means to earning four stars. We are the only double marathon in
Montana. By doing the TBA, you join the ranks of elite athletes. The TBAs used to be rarer than the
people who walked on the moon. Then, they were rarer than those who had orbited the moon. After last
year, just a few more athletes have earned a TBA than the total number of astronauts who have orbited the

This is the 8th year we are offering the Madison Trifecta. If you complete all three of these races in just a
four-week time span, you will earn a T.B.A. award. This stands for ‘Total Bad Ass’ because that’s exactly
what you are if can pull this one off.
This will be the 5th year that we offer a Double Marathon. It is the only double marathon in Montana offered by a series. Marathon Maniacs can earn four stars by doing these two races over this weekend in July.
This will be the 4th year that we offer a Double Half Marathon. It is the only double half marathon in Montana offered by a series. Marathon Half Maniacs can earn four stars by doing these two races over this weekend in July.

Once again we are partnering with Willies Distillery for Southwest Montana’s coolest 5K. This race coincides with Willies Distillery generous pig roast. It offers food, fun, and music for free. Drinks of all kinds are available. It’s a family event and a great way to kick off the summer (along with running the 5K of course). Come to Ennis in Southwest Montana and start the summer with a bang!
The 8th Annual Madison Duathlon is the first leg of the Madison Trifecta.

For the Inaugural Madison Ultras, there are three race categories for runners. There is individual Madison Ultra Up and Madison Ultra Down. Then, there is a team category which is two runners – one running the Up route and one running the Down route. The combined times of the two runners competes for the Team Championship.

The 12th Annual Madison Marathon is the second leg of the Madison Trifecta. The 12th Annual Madison Half Marathon is run on the same route at the same time with the same check in.

The 5th Annual Big Sky Marathon is the second half of our double marathon weekend. The 5th Annual Big Sky Half Marathon is on the same route and starts at the same time with the same check in.

The 3rd Annual Tour de Gravelly is the newest and coolest gravel road cycling race in Montana.
